Trust the process, Scorpio!
With Pluto as your ruler, you know evolution doesn’t happen overnight. It unfolds over months, years, even lifetimes... and it almost always starts within. As Pluto continues his long-term transit of Capricorn in 2021, it won’t always look like you’re making progress. But eventually, your ever-evolving consciousness can’t help but transform your life.
The year begins with Mercury, the sun, and Venus in Capricorn. Their conjunctions with Pluto reveal how far you’ve come—and how deep you’ve gone—in identifying and releasing thought patterns and habits of mind which no longer serve you. Still, there’s always more to uncover.
By April, as the same three planets (now in Aries) challenge Pluto, you’re ready to put these insights into action. From productivity and time management, to health, wellness, and self-care, you’re highly motivated to change your habits and routines. Just avoid taking an “all-or-nothing” approach, as this makes you more likely to burn yourself out.
After all, Scorpio, you can be awfully hard on yourself at times. So you need some softer, soothing spiritual influences in your life—especially in June and July, as the inner planets (including Mars) move through Cancer. Their oppositions with Pluto challenge you to balance mental toughness with tenderness.
If you’ve tried being “strong” for too long, it’s time to come out of your self-imposed exile and reach out for soul-nourishing connections. Especially in August and September, as planets in Virgo make supportive trines with Pluto. Not only can you connect with community at this time, but you may also start to see some outer manifestations of the inner work you’ve been doing all year.
Still, there may be some uncertainty about whether you’re on the right path. With Mercury spending extra time in Libra (August 29-November 5) and forming squares with Pluto three times, introspection can easily turn to indecision. Perhaps it may help to consider that there are no wrong choices in life—just different ways of ending up exactly where you’re meant to be.
As the inner planets transit your sign and harmonize with Pluto (October-December), you’re reminded that life—like you, Scorpio—is always evolving.
Don’t get too comfortable, Scorpio!
As Uranus settles into your opposite sign of Taurus, it’s almost impossible to settle into a relationship rut this year. But whether that’s a good thing or not depends on the current state of your love life—and how invested you are in keeping it that way.
From potential partners to long-term loves, significant others can throw you some unexpected curveballs in 2021. Try as you might to keep things on an even keel, when the ups and downs in their lives directly impact (and sometimes inconvenience) yours. It won’t always be easy to reconcile your differences, especially while Mars is also in Taurus (January 6-March 3). The challenge is determining which of them are dealbreakers, and which you’re willing to live with.
After all, Scorpio, while you can’t control other people, you can control what kind of energy you welcome into your life. And with Jupiter and Saturn together in Aquarius for most of the year, setting boundaries helps to keep the good vibes flowing. Still, their squares with Uranus (Jupiter on January 17; Saturn on February 17, June 14, and December 23) mean that your boundaries will frequently be tested.
Communication is crucial. Fortunately, with Mercury spending extra time in air signs this year, you and your partner can talk things out without bringing each other down. His time in Aquarius (January 8-March 15) helps cohabitating couples work out domestic differences. In Gemini (May 3-July 11), it’s time to talk about sex. And Mercury in Libra (August 29-November 5) urges you to share your deepest, darkest secrets.
Whether you’re together forever or just for the night, being honest and open is the best way to make sure you’re on the same page. And with Venus in your sign from September 10-October 7, lovers are drawn in by your intense authenticity.
But this doesn’t mean you have to take everything so seriously. As the north node in Gemini reminds you, love is supposed to be fun! Laughter isn’t only the best medicine—it’s also the best aphrodisiac. So lighten up a little, Scorpio, and take a playful approach to intimacy this year.
You’re a self-starter, Scorpio. But with Mars in your work house for the last six months, you may have started a few too many projects in 2020. Somehow, you managed to make it work. Still, you may be feeling a bit of burnout as you ring in 2021.
Fortunately, while Mars leaves Aries on January 6, Chiron stays behind to help you recover. And Saturn’s three sextiles with Chiron (February 9, June 23, and November 26), help you learn how to prevent future fatigue.
This is mostly about time management: structuring your schedule to optimize efficiency, while leaving plenty of time for rest. Working from home, either full- or part-time, could possibly work for you. Perhaps you’d even prefer being your own boss—although you can be tougher on yourself than any supervisor.
Scorpio, you’re motivated to do great things. But no matter how much you achieve in your career, it doesn’t always feel like enough. And this might be the case from June 11-August 10, as the inner planets in Leo oppose Saturn and Jupiter in Aquarius. During this time, avoid falling into the comparison trap. Rather than measuring your career by others’ standards, focus on the achievements that really mean something to you. Celebrate your successes and forgive your “failures”—they’re all part of the process!
This is especially true when it comes to your finances. With the south node in Sagittarius, overspending—even overdrawing your account—is an easy mistake to make. But it’s probably just as easy to correct. Two eclipses in Sag (lunar on May 26, solar on December 3) help you to rein in your excesses and make a fresh start. Don’t let guilty feelings over money mistakes cut off your financial flow. Let them go, Scorpio, and open to new sources of abundance.
