Consciousness and The Ideal of Self:
Sofie Dossi is searching for stability; she wants to find a firm, unchanging structure for her life. But her efforts to achieve this ideal are often vain, because unconsciously, she is also inhabited by the opposite desire. Every time she reaches what she believes to be a good balance, she realizes she wants something entirely different. She would do well to become aware that the concepts of stability and balance are difficult to apply to life. By definition, life is movement, change, and perpetual instability.
Born under a new moon (when the moon and sun were in the same part of the sky), Sofie Dossi enjoys a positive balance between the conscious and unconscious aspects of her psyche. Her determination and sensitivity balance one another and work together harmoniously. Her inner life contributes to the relationships with other people which make up her outer life. Her parents or teachers probably gave her the type of education which was adapted to her personality.
As a result, her personality is basically balanced, which, of course, does not mean that her life is devoid of little asperities. Generally, the goals she sets for herself correspond to her skills. Without giving the matter much thought, she tends to follow prevailing trends and behave in a conventional enough way. She is subjective and sees the world according to her own perceptions instead of the way it really is.
Sofie Dossi has a taste for luxury and magnificence, for a dazzling social life and a distinguished career. When things are going well for Sofie Dossi, Sofie Dossi tends to think of herself as the center of the universe, an attitude which those close to Sofie Dossi do not always appreciate. Although Sofie Dossi is quite likely to succeed in her ambition to become wealthy and popular and lead a remarkable life in the outer world, Sofie Dossi’s lack of moderation and overweening self-confidence expose her to some danger. Sofie Dossi’s exaggerated optimism could create difficulties by causing Sofie Dossi to make errors in judgment.
Sofie Dossi enjoys sharing and has a constant need for contact with other people. Sofie Dossi tends to be free and uninhibited in her relations with other people, rarely allowing herself to be influenced by convention or prevailing opinion; Sofie Dossi associates with whomever she pleases. This attitude makes Sofie Dossi’s life refreshing and exciting, and Sofie Dossi is never bored. In career terms, Sofie Dossi is quite gifted for any field related to communication, where her intellectual singularity and lively wit would make her an amazing hit. Sofie Dossi would also be likely to succeed in any activity where the work required a multidisciplinary approach: teaching, advertising, politics, etc.
Adaptation and Sensitivity:
Mild and sensitive, Sofie is deeply human. Sofie is sociable and sincerely devoted to others. Sofie’s mother or a mother-figure had a strong influence on Sofie’s psyche, and Sofie’s childhood was an important time in Sofie’s life. Sofie still identifies with vivid childhood memories; they are the basis for Sofie’s reveries, for Sofie’s extreme sensitivity, and for habits which Sofie may be slow to break. However, Sofie will thrive in the shelter of a family setting, soothed by the presence of a spouse and children. Sofie is fond of security and routine; being somewhat impressionable and anxious, Sofie may have trouble adjusting to situations which are unfamiliar.
Due to Sofie Dossi’s need for security, she tends to limit the scope of her activities, and sometimes must struggle to muster the energy to face unfamiliar situations. She is more or less passive and has a strong urge to take refuge in the past.
Because Sofie Dossi is so sensitive and imaginative, she sometimes has trouble distinguishing dreams from reality. Although her bubbling imagination provides an abundant source of inspiration for creative or spiritual evolution, it tends to be less helpful and positive in matters that concern her self-assertion as responsible and self-sufficient. In a relationship, Sofie is extremely romantic and does not always see others the way they really are.
Love and Sensuality:
Sofie Dossi has a sensual and affectionate nature which is sensitive to physical attraction. This type of sensitivity, combined with Sofie Dossi’s productive urges, may be expressed in an artistic form. As for Sofie Dossi’s feelings, they are usually slow to take root. But once Sofie Dossi is conquered by love, Sofie Dossi forms a deep and lasting bond. Although Sofie Dossi is loyal, Sofie Dossi may also display a tendency to be somewhat possessive.
Sofie’s birth chart indicates an emotional function which is expressed in a direct and fairly impulsive way. Sofie enjoys reaching out to other people and making discoveries. An eternal teenager with Sofie’s gaze riveted on the future, Sofie is imbued with an eminently subjective and personal idealism.
Somewhat eccentric, sensitive, and imaginative, Sofie Dossi has a sort of sixth sense which enables her to perceive others with extreme keenness. She will find family life and possibly parenthood fulfilling, and it will bring her maturity. As she becomes more peaceful, realistic, and consistent, her family life will come to the forefront. She will adore her loved ones or children and protect them as symbols of her own fulfillment.
Sensual and alluring, Sofie Dossi likes to attract and seduce. In her youth, her admirers were many and varied. However, she longs for stability and will find this with a partner who is socially brilliant but somewhat unconventional.
From the outside, Sofie Dossi seems to be detached and aloof, but on the inside she is an extremely complex individual, full of contradictions. Because Sofie Dossi sometimes feels vulnerable emotionally, she tries to control not only her own feelings and urges, but may also strive to manipulate those of her partners. Sofie Dossi aspires to a profound and enduring spiritual unity, but at the same time, the idea of abandoning herself and yielding to the other terrifies her. This anguish may be a source of rather extreme behavior patterns and a somewhat self-focused attitude which could damage the relationship. Because Sofie Dossi is guarded and somewhat secretive, she tends to be suspicious and is especially uneasy about spontaneous intimacy, although she is fascinated by sexuality. Within the privacy of the couple, Sofie Dossi will not express her feelings unless she is subject to some tension. Life may be peppered with frequent crises and feuds, arguments and spats which usually act as erotic provocation. This derivation of eroticism from anxiety tends to be one of the fundamental characteristics of her emotional and sexual functioning. As a result, Sofie Dossi is likely to be attracted by stormy and complicated relationships.
Mental and Intellect:
Sofie Dossi has a lively wit which gives her great agility and scope and a broad field of consciousness which enlivens her curiosity and makes her love variety and change. Her mind is alert and her speech is full of verve, humor, and sometimes impudence. These abilities are great resources in communication, discussion, and debate. Sofie is a storehouse of information and ideas of every kind and delights in manipulating words and concepts, discovering new things, and sharpening her memory for trivial facts. This mental agitation could sometimes make her scattered, however, or lacking in coherence and discipline.
Sofie Dossi expresses her thoughts and ideas carefully, but with a relative lack of spontaneity. Sofie Dossi is rather introverted and looks inside herself for the solutions to the problems she encounters in life. Because Sofie Dossi tends to mistrust customary thought patterns, her opinion is usually highly personal.
Sofie Dossi’s intellectual faculties and wit are sometimes slowed down because they are turned inward. Because Sofie Dossi tends to be oriented toward herself, Sofie Dossi rarely tries to communicate with others for the simple pleasure of doing so. Indeed, Sofie Dossi sometimes feels misunderstood. Moreover, it seems difficult to Sofie Dossi to express the complexity of her inner perceptions.
Sofie Dossi has a lively and agile spirit, but she tends to apply her mental abilities in a somewhat haphazard and disorderly way. She is curious and open-minded, approaching various life experiences with an attitude free of either dogmatism or prejudice. Her extremely lively mind leads her to have an opinion on every subject.
Although she enjoys manipulating expressions and concepts and amuses others and herself with witty remarks, her conversations could collapse into argument and conflict.
Because she is often too hasty to formulate and construct the arguments which would back up and inform her ideas, she is sometimes misunderstood. She is often blind to the rashness of her judgments and convinced they are well-founded and objective, which sometimes irritates the people around her. Actually, her overriding need to assert herself as an individual sometimes defeats discussion and prevents her from listening to the other person fairly. But if she were to succeed in disciplining her mind somewhat, she would have innumerable opportunities to apply her communications skills to a great career.
Moreover, she should be careful of her nerves, which are fairly high-strung. Any physical fitness activity would be beneficial; an Eastern discipline such as yoga or Tai-chi-chuan could teach her how to relax and improve control of her nervous and mental energies.
Sofie Dossi has a mind with an insatiable appetite for knowledge and an exceptional ability to learn. Without trying too hard, Sofie could probably accumulate encyclopedic erudition. Sofie’s intellectual curiosity is such that it is sometimes a drawback. Sofie sometimes has trouble limiting herself to a single subject without being distracted by a multitude of others. Discipline and a conscious effort at organization will be of great help to Sofie if Sofie wants to deepen her learning and judgment.
Once Sofie’s intellectual faculties are disciplined, Sofie is likely to succeed in any of the following fields: teaching, historical scholarship, advertising, writing (journalistic or literary), travel, etc. – in fact, communication in any form.
