She is often reluctant to cooperate with other people on projects. It is only by working and acting independently that she can accomplish her goals and ambitions.

Anna Hansen becomes involved in social affairs, but resists any project that she will not be able to lead herself according to her own individual direction. She identifies herself with an activity with social implications and attempts to know herself through this activity.

Anna Hansen thought, intuition, and inner perceptions predominated in her psyche. Open and curious, optimistic and enthusiastic, she was eager to participate in everything happening around her. Her affections were lively and spontaneous, but may be more intellectual than sensual. In a partner, she would seek a source of mutual spiritual or artistic inspiration. Light-hearted and perhaps even fickle, she never allowed herself to be overcome by outer realities or emotions. In its most exaggerated form, her buoyancy borders on indifference.

Anna Hansen struggles to get into a natural harmony with the physical world and the limitations and restraints it places upon her. She is idealistic and disconnected from practical considerations, and barely pays attention to material things like food, money, her surroundings, and so on. She tends to be footloose and fancy-free, oblivious to the necessities of survival in the physical world, until her lack of material resources – an issue to which she usually grants no importance – becomes an emergency. This feeling of being out of touch with material things and the physical dimension of reality may sometimes lead her to see herself as unfit for this world. She may think she cannot attach herself to anything that would sustain her efforts at self-expression. However, her impractical nature offers many positive aspects. She sees life’s possibilities as limitless. She is apt to develop her imagination or pursue a spiritual quest in order to transcend the material world.

You work hard to understand the feelings of others, but you find it difficult to empathize with them. You see the emotional world as a foreign territory and are baffled by your own emotions. If you were able to accept and understand your own emotions, it would be easier to understand the feelings of others. You have a strong desire for emotional independence, and might find it difficult to see the emotional needs of others. You might also be the first to deny that someone’s emotional needs are real. As a result, your dependency on others is unconscious. It is seen as a threat, and is repressed.
