If you really want to improve and transform yourself, the first step is to become aware of the weaknesses which may be holding you back and preventing your evolution:
– your tendency to hyperfocus on minutiae
– your over intellectualization
– your comfort with a constant state of worry
To trust yourself better and gain self-assurance, the first thing Hunter Hayes must do is learn to say no. Once Hunter Hayes is capable of saying no to others, Hunter Hayes can say yes to life. Hunter Hayes must develop Hunter Hayes’s awareness of all the things Hunter Hayes loves and feel positive about, as well as all the changes Hunter Hayes hopes to make in order to enjoy life more. This is the foundation that will support Hunter Hayes, the inexhaustible source and center of the transformation of Hunter Hayes’s personality. Infantile anxieties which arose in childhood when Hunter Hayes was helpless may be obstacles to Hunter Hayes’s evolution. Sometimes they actually prevent Hunter Hayes from daring to confront challenges Hunter Hayes would be altogether capable of assuming now! One of the reasons Hunter Hayes yields to these childhood fears so readily is that they procure a feeling so familiar to Hunter Hayes that, although it is negative, it is a reassuring part of Hunter Hayes’s identity. However, the more often Hunter Hayes reinforce this complex by yielding to that feeling, the more unaware Hunter Hayes becomes of Hunter Hayes’s true emotional state. The irrational childhood fears have also reinforced Hunter Hayes’s pessimistic tendencies. It is difficult for Hunter Hayes to believe in the sunny side of life because of the pernicious little voice inside Hunter Hayes that claims Hunter Hayes doesn’t really deserve all this goodness. This side of Hunter Hayes could undermine Hunter Hayes’s vitality and force Hunter Hayes to compensate or flee from reality. In doing so, Hunter Hayes limit Hunter Hayes’s power to bring about a positive change in Hunter Hayes or Hunter Hayes’s life. It’s a vicious cycle, and to free Hunter Hayes, the first step is to free Hunter Hayes from the fears which prevent Hunter Hayes from taking full advantage of life. Hunter Hayes can succeed if Hunter Hayes arranges a relaxed, positive environment for Hunter Hayes, establish sincere relations with one or two special people, and, if possible, find a setting – perhaps a yoga class – in which Hunter Hayes can practice relaxation exercises.
