Akemi Higashi’s psyche follows an extroverted thrust. She attempts to embody and actualize her ideas and the archetypes she identifies with in her objective life.
Akemi Higashi is often reluctant to team up with others. She is an individualist and tries to free herself from any outside influence. She is eager to leave her personal imprint on the world around her. Often, due to her lack of perspective in relation to other people, she rebuffs their help and cooperation on projects. It is only by working and acting independently that she can accomplish her goals and ambitions.
Akemi Higashi is self-focused. Individualistic, and independent, and she finds she is rarely of the same opinion as others. She may tend to isolate herself from the outer world. On the other hand, she is gifted with the ability to concentrate on whatever subject is really important to her, which would enable her to acquire expertise in any professional domain she chose. But first she would have to overcome her initial subjectivity.
Akemi Higashi struggles between two fundamentally opposite psychological tendencies, emotional and dynamic functions predominating over mental adaptations to the reality principle and practical capacities. She is propelled by dynamism and idealism on one hand, while endowed with emotionalism and sensitivity on the other. The resulting personality is passionate and fiery, excitable and impulsive, while greatly engaged with others and receptive to their overtures. If she encounters problems in life, their source can often be traced to a lack of realism and reflection.
Akemi Higashi struggles to get into natural harmony with the physical world and the limitations and restraints it places upon her. Idealistic, she tends to be somewhat disconnected from practical considerations, and barely pays any attention to material things like food, money, her surroundings, and so on. She tends to be footloose and fancy-free, oblivious to the necessities of survival in the physical world, until her lack of material resources – an issue to which she usually grants no importance – becomes an emergency. This feeling of being out of touch with material things and the physical dimension of reality may sometimes lead her to see herself as unfit for this world. She may think she cannot attach herself to anything that would sustain her efforts at self-expression. However, her impractical nature offers many positive aspects. She sees life’s possibilities as limitless. She is apt to develop her imagination or pursue a spiritual quest in order to transcend the material world.
Although you may not necessarily notice the fact about yourself because you are so deeply absorbed in actions, feelings, or material concerns, you sometimes lack sound judgment. This impairment arises from a difficulty in obtaining perspective on yourself and your life. You may be puzzled by your troubled relations with others. You must make an effort to detach yourself from your personal reaction and observe it from an objective, more distant standpoint. If not, you are likely to find yourself under stress or pressure because you did not give enough prior thought to tactics and strategy. You may also experience dissatisfaction in your intimate relationships because you might struggle to get in sync with others. You give little time or respect to anyone you see as too “intellectual,” because you resist adapting to new ideas and viewpoints. In fact, an idea that rubs you the wrong way mentally and/or emotionally may elicit an explosive reaction. Self-analysis can be challenging for you and you tend to refuse to develop a solid, permanent idea of yourself – and this plays a lot of tricks on you.
