William Perry, better known as “The Refrigerator” or simply “The Fridge,” is a former American football defensive tackle. He was born on December 16, 1962, in Aiken, South Carolina, and played for the Chicago Bears from 1985 to 1993. He helped the Bears win Super Bowl XX and retired with 29.5 sacks in 138 games.
Perry was a massive man at 6’2″ and over 300 pounds. He was known for his strength and power, and was one of the most popular players in the NFL during his career. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2006.
These days, Perry is enjoying retired life. He makes occasional appearances at Bears events and still has a huge following of fans. He remains one of the most popular players in franchise history.
