Rachid Boudjedra is a Virgo who was born on September 5, 1941, in Algeria. He is often referred to as the greatest living North African writer. In 2010, he won the Prix du Roman Arabe for Les Figuiers de Barbarie. His literary works include Timimoun, Les Funérailles, and Le Démantèlement.
