Enrico Macias is a world music performer whose 1960s singles “J’ai Quitté Mon Pays,” Les Filles de Mon Pays,” and “Entre l’orient et l’occident” catapulted him into international stardom. He recorded songs in a number of languages, including French, Hebrew, and Arabic.
