Bruce Cockburn is a Gemini-born Canadian singer-songwriter and guitarist who hails from the nation's capital, Ottawa. In 1982, he was awarded the Member of the Order of Canada honor, an accolade that recognizes outstanding achievement and service to Canada.

Throughout his career, Cockburn has released over 30 albums, many of which have achieved gold or platinum status in Canada. His music blends elements of rock, folk, jazz, and worldbeat, and has been covered by the likes of Barenaked Ladies, John Mellencamp, and Jimmy Buffett.

Cockburn continues to tour and write music and remains one of the most beloved Canadian musicians to this day.
