Avi Kaplan, the former vocalist of the a capella group Pentatonix, was born on April 17th in Visalia, California, under the sign of Aries. His defining moment came in 2011 when Pentatonix won the third season of The Sing-Off on NBC, singing an arrangement of “Eye of the Tiger.” After six years, Avi announced his departure from the group in May of 2017, and then released his debut solo project, Avriel & the Sequoias, later that same year.
