Alina Cojocaru is a principal dancer renowned for her work with The Royal Ballet in London. Born in Bucharest, Romania on May 27, 1981 under the sign of Gemini, Cojocaru began her career as a principal dancer in 2001. Since then, she has become a celebrated name in the ballet world. She has performed across the globe and is particularly acclaimed for her interpretations of the works of choreographers such as Sir Kenneth MacMillan, George Balanchine, and Christopher Wheeldon. Cojocaru has also been the recipient of a number of awards, including the Laurence Olivier Award for Outstanding Achievement of the Year in Dance.
