Uranus is the first dominant in Eva Gutowski’s astral chart. In the following paragraph, we shall indicate the significance of this fact:
Uranus is the planet of change and freedom, and its presence in the first house of the chart indicates that Eva is a person who is always seeking new experiences and who values personal freedom above all else. Eva is a natural rebel and non-conformist, and she is always looking for ways to break free from the limitations and constraints of the status quo. Eva is a very independent and self-reliant individual, and she is not afraid to take risks or to chart her own course in life.
This planet symbolizes the principle of independence and self-sufficiency, as well as a principle of transformation. Its most striking characteristic is distance from others: the Uranian strives to stand out from the herd, distanced from structuring influences like convention, tradition, etc. Although this need to free yourself from the confines of convention, tradition, and family symbolizes an appeal for freedom and a desire to evolve beyond the bounds of physical limits toward a spiritual dimension, it may also correspond to a form of escape.
This is why Eva sometimes needs to cut herself off from situations or relationships which feel stifling to her. Her intense fear of being swallowed up psychologically causes her to react to certain emotional demands by making herself remote or running away. She needs a lot of space and frequent change. In a relationship, she is seeking a certain degree of intellectual excitement. Without it, she feels as though an unbearable, suffocating boredom sets in.
By refusing certain concessions to convention which are practically inevitable, Eva may find herself in unpleasant situations. Finding an intelligent alternative to the routine set by the rigid forms of the past is extremely different from rebelling against any form of authority, in the settings of family, school, business, or society. One of the major problems Eva has to solve is how to wield her freedom, in her emotional relationships, as well as her relationships with society.
Saturn is the second dominant in Eva Gutowski’s astral chart. This fact indicates that Eva Gutowski is a disciplined person who is able to delayed gratification. Eva Gutowski is also likely to be a great planner and have a methodical approach to her work.
As one of the planets historically thought to be on the outer limits of the solar system (until the “modern” planets were discovered), Saturn has always been associated with the moon, itself a peripheral heavenly body because it belongs to Earth and not to the solar system. Therefore, both Saturn and the moon are aspects of a protection principle (the moon encompasses the earth in the same way as Saturn and its rings encompasses the solar system). Like the moon, Saturn rules a security/insecurity dialectic, but where the moon’s concerns the private, intimate aspects of the individual, Saturn influences social and collective security.
Saturn can be thought of as the polar opposite of the moon (the archetype of the mother, but also of the child, and therefore related to orality). The god Saturn ate his children in order to reign and thus, represents the archetype of the mother (motherhood), the grandmother, and the sage (wisdom). The domination of Saturn thus indicates a maternal complex or, at least, an issue related either to the biological mother or to the symbolism of motherhood. This influence may result in a problem of identity and difficulties in aging which will make themselves evident in personal crises at every passage of this planet, every seven years—thus at the age of 7, at 14 or 15, and 21, 28, etc.
Depending on the psychological context in which Eva is developing, Eva may overcome or overcompensate Eva’s identity complex and gradually acquire a strongly structured personality, or, conversely, remain in a state of immaturity which would probably be detrimental to Eva’s destiny.
Neptune is the third dominant in Eva’s astral chart. In the following paragraph, we shall indicate the significance of this fact:
Neptune is the planet of dreams, intuition, and spirituality. As the third dominant in Eva’s chart, it indicates that she is highly sensitive and compassionate. She is likely to be a natural healer, and she is very intuitive. Neptune also represents the mystical and unknown, so Eva may be attracted to things like psychic phenomena and the occult.
This planet is the quintessential symbol of individual receptivity and the fundamental reactions of the unconscious, including the collective unconscious. Opposed to Saturn, which is the principle of form, structure, and limitation, Neptune is a principle of dissolution. It concerns any effort to encompass the greatest variety of factors, any tendency to surround and blend all the narrow, individual points of view into a single, universal sea.
Psychologically, the Neptunian effect is expressed as an exceptional psychic flexibility and extreme pliancy. Eva thus displays considerable receptivity and availability. Eva feels a need for unity, a need to be related. Eva is also deeply aware of the importance of dreaming, and, negatively, may be prone to delusions.
At certain times, Eva is overwhelmed by a feeling of subtle confusion related to a need for “something else.” When Eva’s well-being is disturbed this way, Eva either yields to a sort of passive, apathetic dissatisfaction, or loses Eva in the search for an imaginary world, perhaps to escape or plunge into bliss.
Eva is sometimes captivated by a need for illusion; Eva would like to experience change through the intermediary of events which are vaster than consciousness and would take Eva far from routine and daily banality. Nevertheless, usually these fantastic dreams only make Eva all the more painfully aware of the realities of everyday life. Eva’s spirit and emotions emerge confused, and Eva’s will is sometimes weakened.
The second house is an area of the sky which is especially important in Eva Gutowski’s theme, because it contains several planets, including the one which rules her rising sign. In the following paragraph, we shall explain the general meaning of this fact.
