What kind of person is Bob Ross?

Bob Ross seeks to make his inner wealth outwardly manifest and substantial.

Bob Ross’ tendency to introversion inclines him to live inside himself, amid his inner world. He is apt to listen to his subjectivity, his intuition, and his secret opinions rather than reason and logic.

Bob Ross’ uppermost concern is his personal, subjective interest. Because the development of his personal identity requires great individual freedom of action, he tries to free himself from outer restraints and limitations. Psychologically self-centered, he remains fairly detached from the social world. He reduces such commitments to the strict minimum. Individualistic and egocentric, he derives his feelings of inner security from his ability to command his will and handle his personal involvements freely and openly.

The struggle between two fundamentally opposite psychological tendencies is the salient feature of Bob Ross’ psyche. In Bob’s case, mental and emotional functions predominate over dynamic and pragmatic ones. Thus, intuition and abstraction yield great results for Bob. Bob is possessed of an exceptionally lively spirit, and is talented at forming relationships.

However, Bob may lack energy and optimism. Bob shows signs of apathy, is reluctant to take risks, and only rarely accepts a challenge. In addition, Bob’s sense of what is real might be a bit fuzzy. Bob has trouble perceiving the limitations and requirements of reality.

Bob Ross is aware of a lack of confidence in himself and in life. Prone to apathy, as if deprived of optimism and cheerfulness at some time, Bob Ross may often be discouraged by the strains of living. This reluctance to accept the challenges of existence, which Bob Ross may perceive as a major problem, may be the result of a self-image which is elusive or flawed. Perhaps, as a child, Bob Ross was not given the means to develop an ideal image due to the lack of an appropriate role model or caregiver.

As a result, Bob Ross is unable to move himself toward an improved, more positive disposition. Bob Ross may reject any challenge that would enable him to surpass his current self, or accept it only after long meditation.

Steeped in the awareness of his problem, Bob Ross may be tormented and wish to change. Vigorous physical exercise and an effort to visualize an admirable figure would be beneficial to Bob Ross, as well as a diet that includes vitality-bolstering vitamins and protein.

Bob Ross struggles to get into natural harmony with the physical world and the limitations and restraints it places upon him. Idealistic, Bob Ross tends to be somewhat disconnected from practical considerations, and barely pays any attention to material things like food, money, his surroundings, and so on. Bob Ross tends to be footloose and fancy-free, oblivious to the necessities of survival in the physical world, until his lack of material resources – an issue to which Bob Ross usually grants no importance – becomes an emergency.

This feeling of being out of touch with material things and the physical dimension of reality may sometimes lead Bob Ross to see himself as unfit for this world. Bob Ross may think he cannot attach himself to anything that would sustain his efforts at self-expression.

However, Bob Ross’s impractical nature offers many positive aspects. Bob Ross sees life’s possibilities as limitless. Bob Ross is apt to develop his imagination or pursue a spiritual quest in order to transcend the material world.
