Beck tends to be reluctant to team up with other people. He attempts to free himself from any outside influence and is eager to leave his personal imprint on the world around him. Often, due to his lack of perspective in relation to other people, he rebuffs their help and cooperation on projects. It is only by working and acting independently that he can accomplish his goals and ambitions.

While Beck contributes to important social causes or collective ideals, he tends to keep his individual identity intact. For this reason, although he may become personally involved in social affairs, he is likely to resist any project he will be unable to lead himself, according to the directions of those who are not himself. Beck tends to identify himself with an activity with social implications and attempt to know himself through this activity.

Beck is self-focused. Individualistic, and independent, and he finds he is rarely of the same opinion as others. He may tend to isolate himself from the outer world. On the other hand, he is gifted with the ability to concentrate on whatever subject is really important to him, which would enable him to acquire expertise in any professional domain he chose. But first he would have to overcome his initial subjectivity.

Beck lives in a world which is in continual contact with his dreams and subconscious. He cannot live without love, and, like water which flows into and takes on the shape of the vessel which contains it, he is always ready to submerge himself in another person. Stirred by forces he does not control, he may be aroused by passions which are impervious to the restraints of reason and logic. He is an emotive creature in harmony with the flow of his feelings, impulses, and urges.

Beck’s numerous contradictions and tensions balance each other out and endow him with a stable, well-tempered character. Indeed, they are especially likely to protect him from unsolvable frustrations and, in terms of reality, will enable him to acquire a certain social and professional success without too much effort on his part. At that point, he must be careful not to take on too many responsibilities. His confidence in his ability to accomplish things may make him spread himself too thin.
