Home is where the heart is, Libra. And, with your ruling planet Venus retrograde in Capricorn, it’s where you’ll want to be in early 2022. There’ll be plenty of time for branching out later in the year. But first, you’re reconnecting with your roots ... and perhaps reevaluating their role in your life.
As Venus goes direct in Capricorn (Jan. 29 to March 5), you might feel a new appreciation for how your childhood and family of origin have shaped you. You might also be ready to restructure your life in ways that offer more love and support.
A Venus-Mars conjunction on Feb. 16, and their conjunctions with Pluto on March 3, empower you to make the changes you desire. Transformation starts within, but it can also manifest outwardly in changes to your actual home or living space. As within, Libra, so without!
With Jupiter in Pisces (Dec. 28, 2021 to May 10, 2022 and Oct. 27 to Dec. 20, 2022), this year you’re finding the sacred in the mundane. The consciousness you bring, even to the simplest activities and tasks, can elevate everyday routines into the realm of ritual.
Of course, with Jupiter, it’s possible to overdo it—especially around the Jupiter-Neptune conjunction on April 12—possibly tempting you to check out from real-life responsibilities and daydream your life away. Fortunately, Jupiter’s sextiles with Uranus in Taurus (Feb. 17) and Pluto in Capricorn (May 3) help you to stay relatively down-to-earth, anchoring your spiritual energies in simple acts of service and self-care.
This comes in handy later in the year, as Mars in Gemini (Aug. 20, 2022 to March 25, 2023) spurs you on to explore new spiritual and intellectual horizons. Direct experience is likely to be your greatest teacher at this time. You can also learn a lot from interacting with people whose perspectives differ from your own—even if Jupiter in your opposite sign of Aries (May 10 to Oct. 27) makes for some heated exchanges!
From October 11–26, a Grand Air Trine among the sun, Venus, and Mercury in your sign, Mars in Gemini, and Saturn in Aquarius opens up the channels of communication. While conflict isn’t typically your thing, Libra, don’t shy away from engaging in a little friendly debate!
You can’t hurry love, Libra. But if this year’s astrology is any indication, you’ll be doing your best to move it along in 2022!
After all, romance is serious business for you. While you might enjoy playing the field, with Saturn in Aquarius, you’re done with playing games. Why waste precious time waiting for others to get serious—whether it’s about building a future together or simply firming up your weekend plans?
As Venus and Mars meet up in Aquarius on March 5, it should be easier for you and your love interest to get on each other’s wavelength. Still, their conjunctions with Saturn (Venus on March 28; Mars on April 4) could put your connection to the test. Be cool, Libra, and give relationships the space and time they need. Progress might seem frustratingly slow at times. Things could just as easily start moving faster than you’re used to, as Venus and Mars square Uranus in Taurus (March 19–22).
Uranus can cut you off from fully expressing your desires, but the North Node in Taurus calls you out of your comfort zone and into deeper intimacy. Two eclipses in this sensual sign (solar: April 30; lunar: Nov. 8) help to release your inhibitions. Meanwhile, Mercury’s times in Taurus (April 10–29 and May 22 to June 13) get you more comfortable talking about sex—along with money, power, and other touchy relationship topics.
Perhaps your most burning question this year, Libra, is: “Who am I, if I’m not in a relationship?” With Venus in your opposite sign of Aries for most of May, you’re strongly attracted to independence in others. Her conjunction with Chiron and square with Pluto give you pause about embracing your own free-spirited streak.
Fortunately, Jupiter in Aries (May 10 to Oct. 27) finds you growing braver and bolder. You’re ready to take some risks in relationships—whether that means putting yourself out there more often and making the first move, or breaking away from a partner and blazing your own trail.
After all, Libra, your primary relationship is the one you have with yourself. Venus’ transit through your sign (Sept. 29 to Oct. 23) helps you rekindle this “first love.”
Going through some growing pains at work, Libra? If so, thank Jupiter, whose transits through Pisces (Dec. 28, 2021 to May 10, 2022 and Oct. 27 to Dec. 20, 2022) can increase everything from your workload, to the number of hours and jobs worked, to the number of coworkers or employees on the job with you this year.
Fortunately, Jupiter increases your job satisfaction as well. A renewed enthusiasm for the work you do might even inspire you to seek out more professional-development opportunities. Jupiter’s sextile with Uranus in Taurus (Feb. 17) assists with learning new technologies or adding some game-changing skills to your set.
Around the Jupiter-Neptune conjunction in Pisces (April 12), it might seem like you’ve finally found your “dream job.” Pouring yourself into your work at this time can feel like a true labor of love. Be careful, though, not to overextend yourself. As Jupiter sextiles Pluto in Capricorn (May 3), practice self-care by setting appropriate boundaries to protect your energy and time in the workplace. This is especially important if you’re working from home this year!
After all, with Cancer as your career house, work often feels like home to you ... and colleagues and clients often become like family. At the end of the day, Libra, some things are better left at the office. From June 21 to Aug. 11, as the sun, Mercury, and Venus move through Cancer, they’ll make challenging aspects that motivate you to strike a better work-life balance. Remember, it’s not personal—it’s business!
That being said, your personal values can and should inform your way of doing business. And with the South Node in Scorpio this year, you’re reevaluating what matters most to you. Two eclipses in Scorpio (lunar: May 15; solar: Oct. 25) help you to release old beliefs or fears around money, scarcity, and abundance that have been blocking your financial flow.
