If Bailey Zimmerman really wants to improve and transform themselves, the first step is to become aware of the weaknesses which may be holding them back and preventing their evolution:
– their excessive independence
– their fear of commitment
– their eccentricity
– their instability
– their fear of intimacy
Bailey Zimmerman is rather obstinate, stubborn, and impervious to outside influences. Although Zimmerman’s determination is an asset in bringing plans and projects to completion, it may also arouse bitter hostility against Zimmerman. To fit in best, Zimmerman should consider working on Zimmerman’s flexibility and diplomacy.
To trust yourself better and gain self-assurance, the first thing Bailey Zimmerman must do is learn to say no. Once Bailey is capable of saying no to others, they can say yes to life. Bailey must develop their awareness of all the things they love and feel positive about, as well as all the changes they hope to make in order to enjoy life more. This is the foundation that will support Bailey, the inexhaustible source and center of the transformation of their personality. Infantile anxieties which arose in childhood when Bailey was helpless may be obstacles to their evolution. Sometimes they actually prevent Bailey from daring to confront challenges they would be altogether capable of assuming now! One of the reasons Bailey yields to these childhood fears so readily is that they procure a feeling so familiar to Bailey that, although it is negative, it is a reassuring part of their identity. However, the more often Bailey reinforces this complex by yielding to that feeling, the more unaware Bailey becomes of their true emotional state. The irrational childhood fears have also reinforced Bailey’s pessimistic tendencies. It is difficult for Bailey to believe in the sunny side of life because of the pernicious little voice inside Bailey that claims they don’t really deserve all this goodness. This side of Bailey could undermine their vitality and force Bailey to compensate or flee from reality. In doing so, Bailey limits their power to bring about a positive change in themselves or their life. It’s a vicious cycle, and to free Bailey, the first step is to free Bailey from the fears which prevent them from taking full advantage of life. Bailey can succeed if they arrange a relaxed, positive environment for themselves, establish sincere relations with one or two special people, and, if possible, find a setting – perhaps a yoga class – in which they can practice relaxation exercises.
